Is it True?

Have you ever wondered about how modern day animals came to exist? Or how mammals are slowly adapting to the aquatic world of oceans and lakes? Do you think evolution could have caused such creatures as mermaids and other "non-real" creatures? Evolution is a mysterious topic to me because it has so many ways to enhance or effect so many different species. It created everything we see today. For example polar bears were once grizzly bears that migrated to colder climates and adapted so well to the water and cold that they now have thicker fur, webbing between their toes, and can hold their breath for quite some time. Also Antarctic fish have become able to deploy antifreeze proteins to survive in cold waters. Even the tasty Viceroy butterflies escape predators by adapting to look like the more toxic monarch butterfly.
